hearts against hunger with Power Packs 2015/16

You asked for it, and together we did it… our first initiatives that impacted local children and their families!

We are happy to announce that thanks to your sharing hearts in 2015 we were able to raise the funds to provide weekend meals for 35 children for one year! (update: we’re actually over 36 now!), and 23 children in 2016!

Who would have thought that giving up your Valentine candy and flowers could mean so much!  We partnered Power Packs Project to provide meals and education for children in Lancaster County.  Want to know more about Power Packs?  Click here!

Want to help?
Click on this Power Packs Link and share the money that you would have spent on your flowers, chocolate, or meal.  We at Small Sacrifice don’t touch your money, get reimbursed, or make any money at all.  This is actually pretty expensive for us to do.  But the benefit of saving lives is priceless!

So the idea was simple – give up some of your Valentine’s Day gifts and feed a child. Give up a box of chocolate, share $10 and feed a family for a weekend! Give up a dozen roses, feed a family of 6 for 2 weekends! $75 feeds a child for a year!
